Gabriel was buzzing with excitement because today was mall day with his family! He could barely keep himself still as he got ready to go. Once they arrived, Gabriel couldn’t contain his energy and dashed off toward the mall doors. Suddenly, he realized he couldn’t see his mom anymore. - Where is Mommy? Gabriel wondered, feeling a little worried. This was a big problem because he needed to stay close to her.
Gabriel looked around and saw so many interesting things. There were bright lights, colorful signs, and lots of people everywhere. He started to feel a bit lost and didn’t know which way to go. - Oh no, Gabriel thought, I can't find Mommy! He stopped and tried to remember what she looked like in the crowd.
As Gabriel wandered, he noticed a big toy store! He was tempted to go inside, but he knew he should find his mom first. - Maybe she’s inside? he wondered. But when he peeked inside, he didn’t see her. He felt a little sad and unsure about what to do next. Gabriel knew he needed to be wise and keep looking.
Gabriel started to feel tired and thought about giving up. - I’ll never find Mommy, he said softly to himself. Just then, he saw a friendly store clerk nearby. He remembered his mom saying to ask for help if he ever got lost. Gabriel felt a bit better knowing he could try asking for help.
The store clerk smiled and said, - Let’s find your mom together! Gabriel felt a spark of hope and followed the clerk. They walked through the mall, checking different stores and looking around. Gabriel felt braver with the clerk by his side. Soon they spotted his mom waving from the food court!
Gabriel ran to his mom, relieved to see her again. - I found you! he exclaimed joyfully. His mom hugged him tight and said she was proud of him for asking for help. Gabriel learned that staying close was important and that being wise helped him find his way. He felt happy and ready for their next adventure together.
