The next day, Marty went outside to play in the cold. She saw a small girl looking at her from another house's window. The girl seemed like she wanted to talk but looked sad. Marty decided to approach her.
- Why do you look so sad? Marty asked. - I can't go outside, the small girl replied. Marty was curious and asked her why. The girl told her she had cancer and couldn't play like other kids. Marty felt really sad for her new friend.
Marty went home that evening, feeling very sad and confused. - Why does she have to suffer so much? she asked her mom. Marty's mom explained that some people have different challenges in life. Marty couldn't stop thinking about the small girl.
The next day, Marty decided to visit the small girl again. - Can I come in and play with you? Marty asked. - Yes, but I can't play outside games, the small girl replied. Marty smiled and said they could play indoor games instead. They spent the afternoon playing board games and talking.
