Tamy decided to ask Mrs. Carrot if she had seen Peter. Mrs. Carrot was busy selling her bright orange carrots. Tamy asked, - Have you seen Peter the Potato? Mrs. Carrot shook her head and said, - No, Tamy, I haven't. Maybe you should ask Mr. Onion. Tamy thanked Mrs. Carrot and went to find Mr. Onion.
Tamy found Mr. Onion, who was stacking onions in neat piles. - Mr. Onion, have you seen Peter the Potato? Tamy asked. Mr. Onion looked puzzled and said, - I saw him near the kitchen earlier. Maybe he's there. Tamy felt a little hopeful and hurried towards the kitchen, hoping to find Peter.
When Tamy reached the kitchen, it was very busy. The chefs were cooking, and the pots and pans were clanging. Tamy couldn't see Peter anywhere. She felt very small and tired. - I'll never find Peter, Tamy sighed. She was about to give up when she saw a familiar shadow near the big fridge.
Tamy walked closer to the fridge and saw Peter's hat peeking out from behind it. - Peter! Tamy called excitedly. Peter came out, looking a bit embarrassed. - I'm sorry, Tamy, I got lost, Peter said. Tamy hugged Peter and said, - It's okay, Peter. I'm just glad I found you. They both smiled, knowing they had learned something important today.
