Teddy the T-Rex's First Day
Teddy the T-Rex is nervous about starting his first day at Dino Academy, where everything seems too big and scary. He hides from the loud noises and many chairs, meeting Jocco, another young dinosaur who feels school is boring. Together, they must overcome their fears and learn the value of teamwork to solve a big problem and discover that school isn't so bad after all.
It was Teddy the T-Rex's first day at Dino Academy, and he was very scared. The jungle around the school was loud with the sounds of big dinosaurs. Teddy clutched his cat t-shirt tightly, wishing he could be as brave as a lion. He looked at the huge school building with its many chairs and said, - Why are there so many chairs? They make me nervous.
Once inside, Teddy heard scary noises everywhere. - It's too loud, he whispered to himself, trying to find a quiet corner to hide. He tiptoed past the classrooms filled with big dinosaurs. His tiny heart thumped in his chest. - Maybe I should just hide here all day, he thought.
As Teddy was trying to find a hiding spot, he bumped into Jocco, another small dinosaur. - Whoa, watch it! said Jocco, rubbing his nose. - Sorry, I was just trying to hide from all these chairs, Teddy replied. Jocco nodded, - I don't like school either. It's boring. I just want to play sports.
Together, Teddy and Jocco decided to hide in the library. - This place is quiet, said Teddy, feeling a bit better. But just as they settled under a table, they heard a loud crash. - What was that? Jocco asked, eyes wide. They peeked out and saw a stack of books had fallen over.
Teddy's fear returned. - We could get in trouble, he whispered. Jocco looked worried too. - Maybe we should just stay hidden, Jocco suggested. But then they heard the librarian coming closer. - Oh no, what do we do now? Teddy asked, feeling trapped.
- Let's make a run for it, Jocco suggested, but Teddy hesitated. He didn't want to get caught. - I can't, Teddy said, his fear of getting in trouble growing. Jocco paused, then said, - Maybe we can fix this together. Teddy nodded slowly, feeling a little braver with a friend.
Together, they started picking up the fallen books. - We're a good team, Jocco said with a grin. - Yeah, maybe school isn't so scary with a friend, Teddy replied, feeling his fear melt away. They stacked the books neatly, and the librarian smiled at their teamwork. - Thank you, boys, she said.
But then Teddy felt his fear creep back. - What if school is still scary? he asked Jocco. - We can face it together, Jocco encouraged. Teddy thought about giving up, but then remembered how they fixed the book mess. - Maybe I can be brave, too, he said quietly.
