The Adventures of Gabriel and Kaiju

Gabriel loved playing with his toy spaceship. One sunny morning, he couldn't find it anywhere! He looked under the bed and behind the curtains. " - Where could it be, Kaiju?" Gabriel asked his dog. Kaiju wagged his tail and barked. Together, they decided to search the whole backyard.
Gabriel and Kaiju searched the backyard but found nothing. Gabriel scratched his head. " - Maybe it's in the garage," he suggested. Kaiju barked in agreement. They ran to the garage, hoping to find the spaceship.
The garage was dark and full of cobwebs. Gabriel felt a little scared. " - It's okay, we can do this," he bravely said. But the spaceship was not there either. Gabriel was starting to worry.
Gabriel and Kaiju sat on the porch, thinking about where else to look. " - Maybe we should check the park," Gabriel suggested. Kaiju wagged his tail excitedly. They decided to head to the park, hoping for better luck.
At the park, Gabriel and Kaiju searched around the swings and slides. " - Do you see it, Kaiju?" Gabriel asked. Kaiju sniffed around but found nothing. Gabriel started to feel sad. " - I really miss my spaceship," he whispered.
Gabriel noticed something shiny near the fountain. He rushed over with Kaiju following closely. But it was just a shiny rock. " - Oh no, just a rock," Gabriel sighed. His shoulders drooped with disappointment.
As the sun began to set, Gabriel and Kaiju sat on the park bench. " - Maybe we'll never find it," Gabriel said, feeling defeated. Kaiju licked his hand, trying to cheer him up. Gabriel hugged his furry friend tightly.
Back at home, Gabriel was about to give up. " - I guess it's gone forever," he said sadly. But just then, his mom walked in. " - Why don't you retrace your steps?" she suggested. Gabriel thought about her words.
Gabriel remembered playing with the spaceship in the sandbox. " - Let's check the sandbox, Kaiju!" he exclaimed. They hurried outside. There, buried under the sand, was the missing spaceship! Gabriel laughed with joy.
