Twinkle felt sad, but she never stopped trying.
Each night, she gave her best effort to light up the sky. One evening, as she gazed down at the Earth, she noticed a little village. In the village lived a young boy named Oliver. Oliver loved to read, but his village had no electricity. - How can I help him? Twinkle wondered.
Twinkle saw how hard Oliver worked and felt a tug in her heart. - I want to help him! she thought. But how could a tiny, flickering star like her make a difference? She tried to shine brighter, but her light kept flickering. - Maybe I should just give up, she sighed.
The next night, as the moon rose and the stars took their places in the sky, Twinkle focused all her energy on shining for Oliver. She pushed past her doubts and fears and summoned every bit of light inside her. To her surprise, something magical happened. Twinkle's light, though small, sparkled with a special warmth. - I did it! she exclaimed.
Down below, Oliver looked up at the sky and saw Twinkle shining directly above his house. Her light was just enough to illuminate his book. - Thank you, little star, Oliver whispered. He felt encouraged to keep reading and learning. - You're welcome, Twinkle whispered back.
