The Many Adventures of Bri Bri The Mouse
Bri Bri, a young mouse who hasn't yet developed his family's magical ability to enter book worlds, embarks on a thrilling ocean adventure. Along the way, he learns about courage as he faces various obstacles.
This is Bri Bri. He likes to run, play and spend time with his family. But above all else, he loves to read. Bri Bri and his family are very special. His family has a special gift. When his family reads, they end up IN THE STORY! Now every mouse can read of course, and Bri Bri is no exception. He reads all kinds of books. Books about horses, sports, dragons, and space. He even likes to read cookbooks!
Bri Bri landed on a sandy beach, the ocean stretching out before him. 'Wow, I'm really here!' he exclaimed. He noticed a small bottle with a message inside. 'Help! A treasure is hidden and needs to be found,' the message read. Bri Bri knew he had to find the treasure.
It was a day like any other. Bri Bri woke up and started on his morning chores. Once his chores were done, he went to his bookshelf to pick out a book. Little did he know, Bri Bri was about to get his wish.
This morning, he happened to pick up a book about divers looking for sunken treasure deep in the ocean. As he began to read, he could taste the salty air and feel the cool sea breeze. All of a sudden, he thought he felt something a little wet. But that is ridiculous, he thought, he was sitting in his room reading a book. THAT IS WHEN HE LOOKED UP....
Bri Bri was in the ocean! He was actually in the ocean! At first, he was scared, but as he put his hands up he felt something hard. It was a mask. He couldn’t believe it. It was finally his turn. He was inside the story. He swam around and saw fish and dolphins and plants and starfish and all other kinds of sea life. There was so much color and everywhere he looked he saw something different.
As Bri Bri was swimming, he saw the divers from his book. One of the divers swam over and began talking to Bri Bri through a special microphone inside the divers mask. The diver introduced himself. He told Bri Bri they were looking for treasure and asked for help. Bri Bri squealed with excitement and told the divers he would be happy to help them!
When they reached the treasure, it was so shiny. It was almost like the water was sparkling from the pretty treasure. The diver let Bri Bri hold some of the treasure. Bri Bri had never seen anything like the treasure so he was really excited!
Pretty soon, all the treasure had been taken to the boat. The divers thanked Bri Bri for all his help, said their goodbyes, and swam away. After the last diver had swam out of sight, everything started to change. Bri Bri turned around and he was back in his room. He looked down at the book and saw the words “the end.”
He started to wonder if he had been dreaming so he pinched his arm. He squeaked. Nope, he hadn’t been dreaming. As he stood up, something dropped out of the book. It was a piece of the treasure from the sunken ship! He let out another little squeak. This time it was a happy squeak. He picked up the piece of treasure and smiled. He couldn’t wait to tell his parents about his first story book adventure.
