Joud lived in a bustling city in the UAE. One morning, he discovered that people in his neighborhood were not getting along. They were arguing about their differences instead of celebrating them.
Joud couldn't understand why everyone was so upset. He decided he had to do something to help. But what could a smart and kind six-year-old do?
Joud tried to talk to his neighbors, but they were too busy arguing to listen. One neighbor said, - Go away, Joud. You wouldn't understand.
Joud decided to build a robot that could help people understand each other better. He worked day and night, designing and building his special robot.
When Joud finished his robot, he proudly showed it to his parents. - Look, Mom and Dad! This robot will help everyone understand each other! - That's wonderful, Joud! his mom said.
Joud took his robot to the park to show his neighbors. But when he turned it on, it didn't work. The robot just stood still.
Joud felt sad, but he didn't give up. He took the robot back home to fix it. - Don't worry, I'll make you work, he whispered to the robot.
Joud tried to fix the robot, but every time he thought he had it, something else went wrong. - Why won't you work? he sighed.
Joud's best friend, Ali, came over to help. - Maybe we need to change the batteries, Ali suggested.

Joud and Ali tried one last time. They worked carefully, making sure everything was in place. Finally, the robot started to move!
