Everyone on the ship was already potty trained. Perry felt he was the only one left behind. It was a big problem for a brave pirate like him. "What if I never learn?" Perry sighed.
Perry decided to give the potty a try. As he approached, the ship suddenly rocked! He stumbled and fell back, feeling embarrassed. His friend, Polly the parrot, flapped over, "Don't worry, Perry!" Polly chirped. But Perry felt nervous. "I don't know if I can do this", he admitted.
Later, Perry tried again, but a storm hit the sea. The ship tossed and turned! He couldn't keep his balance and he spilled water everywhere. The crew was busy, and Perry felt all alone. "Why is this so hard?" Perry groaned. He wanted to be brave, but the potty seemed impossible.
Feeling defeated, Perry sat in his cabin. He thought maybe he should just give up being a pirate. But that made him sad. Polly perched on his shoulder. "You're the bravest pirate I know", Polly encouraged. Perry sighed - "But what if I can't do it?"
Suddenly, Captain Seasalt came in with a kind smile. "Even captains need help", Seasalt said. He showed Perry how to steady the ship and stay calm. Perry listened carefully. "I can try again", Perry decided. He felt a new spark of courage.
With the captain's help, Perry faced the potty once more. The ship was calm, and Perry took a deep breath. This time, he felt ready. "I can do this!" Perry cheered. And he did! Perry was now a potty-trained pirate, ready for any adventure.
