Anne, Bella, and Lily met at the park for their usual playtime. As they giggled and played tag, they heard a strange sound.
- Hey girls! Did you hear what I heard? Lily asked, her eyes wide with curiosity. - I can hear some whimpering, Anne replied, pointing towards the picnic table.
- Let’s check it out. It sounds like it is coming from under that picnic table, Bella suggested, leading the way.
What? Anne's eyes widened, and she rubbed them in disbelief. - There are three puppies inside the box! she exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise.
- Oh Wow! Poor puppies! Who could have abandoned them here? Bella said, her heart aching for the little creatures.
The puppies whimper in a soft way, making the girls' hearts melt. - What do we do? We cannot take them home without asking our parents, Anne said, worried.
- I would love to keep one if my mom and dad allow me to, said Bella, her eyes filled with hope.
- There are three puppies, so what if we ask our parents if we can keep them? Lily suggested, determined to find a solution.
- Yes, that is a good idea, Anne agreed, nodding her head. The girls run in different directions, each holding a fluffy puppy close to their chest.
Anne dashes across the park to her house. She bursts through the front door, her voice echoing through the house.
- Mom, Dad, can I keep this puppy? I found him abandoned in the park! Anne pleaded, her voice full of urgency.
Dad glanced at the puppy, surprised, and Mom looked thoughtful. - We need to discuss this, Anne. It’s a big responsibility, her mom said gently.
Bella faced a similar challenge at her home. Her parents were concerned about the work involved in caring for a puppy.
Lily's parents were hesitant too, worried about the cost and time needed. - But they need us! Lily insisted, her eyes shining with determination.
The girls met back at the park, their faces filled with worry. - What if we each take turns caring for all three puppies? Lily suggested.
The parents agreed to the plan, and the girls were overjoyed. Together, they gave the puppies a new loving home, learning the value of courage and teamwork.
