The Wise Pig and the Sly Fox
A young pig named Piglet finds himself in a dangerous situation when he accidentally knocks on the door of a hungry fox. Through wit and courage, Piglet must find a way to escape and outsmart the sly fox.
One day, a very hungry fox named Mr. Fox was looking for something delicious to eat. Suddenly, there was a knock at his door. Who could it be?
To Mr. Fox's surprise, it was a small, round piglet standing at his door, looking scared.
Mr. Fox couldn't believe his luck! Dinner had come right to his door!
- Oh no! I must be lost! I thought this was Rabbit’s house! Piglet said nervously. - Rabbit’s house? No, no! You’ve come to the right place—my dinner plate! Mr. Fox replied, smiling widely.
Piglet thought fast. - Wait! You can’t eat me yet! I’m all dirty. You don’t want to eat a dirty pig, do you? - Hmm, maybe you’re right. First, I’ll give you a bath! Mr. Fox said, thinking hard.
Mr. Fox gave Piglet a nice bath. Piglet giggled to himself. He had an idea to trick the fox!
- Hee hee, this will buy me some time! Piglet giggled. - Alright, now you’re nice and clean! Time for dinner! Mr. Fox said, rubbing his hands.
Piglet quickly thought of another idea. - But wait! I’m so skinny! You wouldn’t want to eat a skinny pig, would you? - You’re right! I’ll feed you first, and then you’ll be plump and tasty! Mr. Fox decided.
Mr. Fox fed Piglet all sorts of delicious food—pies, fruits, and cakes. Piglet ate happily, growing fuller and fuller.
- Yum! This is working out great! Piglet said happily. Mr. Fox looked more tired but still ready to eat. - Okay, now you’re fat and ready for my pot! Mr. Fox said excitedly.
Piglet quickly thought of another idea. - But wait! After all that work, don’t I deserve a nice massage first? - Hmm, maybe you’re right. First, I’ll give you a massage! Mr. Fox said, yawning.
Mr. Fox sighed but gave Piglet a massage. He was so tired after all the work! - I’m so sleepy... maybe I’ll take a nap before dinner... Mr. Fox said, yawning.
- Phew! That was close! Piglet whispered. Piglet quietly snuck out the door and back home, safe and sound. What a lucky day!
Piglet was so relieved to be home. - I did it! I outsmarted Mr. Fox! he said to himself. Piglet learned that sometimes, thinking quickly can help you out of a tough spot.
Mr. Fox woke up, realizing his dinner was gone. - Oh no! Where did Piglet go? he exclaimed. He was disappointed but knew he had been outsmarted.
And that’s how a clever little pig outsmarted the hungry fox! It wasn’t Mr. Fox’s lucky day after all! Piglet learned that courage and quick thinking can save the day.
