Timmy was excited for her first day at playschool in Hyderabad. But there was a big problem. Timmy felt scared to leave her mom. She was worried about being away from her. Timmy’s mom smiled and gave her a hug.
Timmy clung to her mom as they reached the playschool. Her heart thumped loudly in her chest. She saw many kids playing, but she felt too shy to join. Her mom gently nudged her forward. Timmy didn't want to let go of her hand.
Inside the classroom, Timmy saw colorful toys and games. A friendly teacher waved at her. But Timmy stood frozen, feeling like she couldn't move. She wanted to run back to her mom. She felt tears in her eyes.
Timmy sat in a corner, feeling sad. She watched the other kids laugh and play. She thought about going home. She wondered if she could be brave enough to join them. Timmy felt like she was ready to give up.
The teacher came over and sat beside Timmy. She handed her a toy car. - Would you like to play with me? the teacher asked. Timmy nodded and slowly started to play. She felt a little braver with her help.
Timmy started to smile as she played with the toy car. She saw other kids watching her. - Can I play too? a boy asked. Timmy nodded, feeling happy. She realized she could be brave and make new friends.
