As Timmy walked towards school, he came across a big muddy puddle blocking his path. - How am I supposed to get past this? he wondered. He tried jumping over it, but landed right in the middle, splashing mud everywhere. - Oh no! I'm all dirty now. Feeling embarrassed, he continued on, hoping nobody would see him like this.
Further along, Timmy encountered a barking dog that scared him. - Please don't bark at me, Timmy pleaded, but the dog just wagged its tail and barked louder. Timmy was too afraid to move. A kind neighbor came by and said, - Don't worry, he's just excited to see you. Timmy took a deep breath and slowly walked past the dog, his heart pounding.
Timmy began to feel like he couldn't go on. - Maybe I should just go back home, he thought sadly. He sat on a bench, thinking about how hard everything was. Just then, a friendly bird landed next to him and chirped happily. - If a little bird can be so brave, maybe I can be brave too, Timmy said to himself, feeling a spark of courage.
With newfound courage, Timmy stood up and decided to keep going. He met a group of kids playing hopscotch who invited him to join. - Come play with us! they said. Timmy hesitated, then joined in, laughing and having fun. - Maybe school won't be so scary after all, he thought.
Finally, Timmy arrived at school, feeling proud of himself for being brave. He saw his new teacher waiting at the gate with a welcoming smile. - Welcome, Timmy! We're going to have a great day, she said. Timmy grinned and waved goodbye to his fears, ready for the adventure ahead.
