Toda's Lucky Cat

In a quaint little town in Kyoto, eight-year-old Toda spends his days buried in books at Oba-Aya's enchanting library. Despite the magical stories he reads, he feels lonely since his parents left. Concerned for her grandson, Aya urges him to step outside and experience life beyond the pages. Hesitant but curious, Toda agrees. - I'll try, Oba-Aya. Maybe there's adventure waiting for me outside, said Toda.

With a small amount of pocket money from his beloved Obachan, Toda ventures out. His first stop is a cozy café where he orders sashimi, rice balls, and mochi. As he eats, the tranquil Kamo River catches his eye, whispering promises of adventure.
