Travel Ted, an adventurous bear adopted by an 8-year-old girl named Lucy, was thrilled about their trip to New York City. Upon arriving, they discovered that Lucy's favorite toy, Mr. Bunny, was missing. Ted and Lucy promised to find Mr. Bunny before their trip ended.
After searching the hotel room, Ted and Lucy decided to ask the hotel manager if anyone had found Mr. Bunny. The manager shook his head, saying no one had turned in a lost toy.
They went to Central Park next, hoping someone might have seen Mr. Bunny. They asked a street performer if he had seen a toy rabbit.
The street performer said he had seen a toy rabbit but didn't remember where. Ted and Lucy felt discouraged but decided to keep looking. They checked every corner of the park, but still no luck.
Tired and upset, Lucy sat on a bench and started to cry. Ted hugged her, feeling just as sad. They considered giving up and heading back to the hotel.
- Maybe we should go back, Ted suggested. - No, we can't give up, Lucy replied. Just then, an old man approached them. - Are you looking for a toy rabbit? he asked.
The old man introduced himself as Mr. Thompson, a park janitor. - I found a toy rabbit near the lake, he said. Ted and Lucy followed Mr. Thompson to his office where Mr. Bunny was waiting.
Ted and Lucy were overjoyed to see Mr. Bunny. - Thank you so much, Mr. Thompson! Ted exclaimed. - Always be honest and never give up, Mr. Thompson advised. They returned to the hotel, happy and relieved.
