Nathaniel and his mom, Tweet, live in New York City. One day, their favorite park is closed, and Nathaniel’s favorite toy is trapped inside. Nathaniel feels sad without his toy. Tweet says, - We’ll get your toy back, Nathaniel. But they need to find a way into the park.
Nathaniel and Tweet try to climb the park fence. Nathaniel’s little legs can’t reach high enough. - I can’t do it, Mom, says Nathaniel. Tweet hugs him and says, - Let’s find another way. They walk around the park to look for another entrance.
They find another gate, but it’s locked too. Nathaniel feels even more sad. - We’ll never get in, he says. Tweet holds his hand and says, - Don’t give up, Nathaniel. They decide to ask a park worker for help.
The park worker says they need a special key to open the gate. - I don’t have a key, says Nathaniel. - We’ll find the key together, Tweet reassures him. They start searching for the key around the park.
They search everywhere but can’t find the key. Nathaniel feels like giving up. - It’s too hard, he says. Tweet kneels down and says, - Remember, we’re a team. Let’s keep looking. They keep searching together.
Nathaniel sits down and feels very tired. - I can’t do it, Mom, he says. Tweet hugs him tight and says, - You are brave, Nathaniel. Let’s take a break and think. They sit on a bench to rest.
Suddenly, they see a shiny object under the bench. - Look, Mom! Nathaniel says. It’s the special key! - You found it, Nathaniel, Tweet cheers. They hold the key together, smiling. - Let’s go get your toy, says Tweet.
Nathaniel and Tweet unlock the gate and run to the toy. - We did it, Nathaniel shouts. He hugs his toy tight. - You were very brave, Tweet says. Nathaniel smiles and says, - We did it together, Mom.
