What on Earth Happened?!
Join Earyh, an 8-year-old with green and blue skin, on a journey through space as she struggles with feelings of sadness because she believes she has nothing special to offer. Through a series of obstacles and encounters with other planets, Earyh learns that what’s on the inside truly matters.
Earyh, a young planet with green and blue skin, floated in space. She looked at the other planets and felt sad. Mars was red and mysterious, Saturn had stunning rings, and Jupiter was enormous with many moons. Earyh sighed and thought, 'What makes me special?' She believed she had nothing visible to offer.
Earyh decided to ask the planets for help. She floated over to Mars first. ' - Mars, what makes you special?' Earyh asked. ' - I’m red and have the tallest volcano in the solar system,' Mars replied proudly. Earyh felt even sadder and floated away.
Next, Earyh visited Saturn. ' - Saturn, what makes you special?' she asked. ' - I have beautiful rings made of ice and rock,' Saturn said, spinning to show them off. Earyh felt a pang of envy and continued her journey.
Earyh then approached Jupiter. ' - Jupiter, what makes you special?' she asked. ' - I’m the largest planet and have many moons,' Jupiter boomed. Earyh sighed deeply. She floated away, feeling like giving up.
Feeling hopeless, Earyh stopped near the Sun. ' - Sun, I don’t have anything special like the other planets. I think I give up,' she said. ' - Earyh, look inside yourself,' the Sun advised warmly. ' - What do you mean?' Earyh asked, puzzled.
The Sun glowed brighter. ' - You are home to humans, animals, and plants. They need you to live,' it said. Earyh thought about it and smiled. She realized she was special in her own way. ' - Thank you, Sun,' she said, feeling happy for the first time.
