On a sunny morning in Norton Summit, Robbie called, "Monty! Rocky! Time for our walk!". Rocky came trotting over, wagging his tail, but Monty was nowhere to be seen. "Where’s Monty?" Huey asked. Isla suggested, "Maybe he’s in the shed.". The children searched everywhere. "Monty is missing!" Robbie exclaimed, worried.
The children decided to search their favorite places. They checked the chicken coop and under the lawn mower. "What if he got out?" Huey said, his voice trembling. "We’ll find him," Isla assured. But Monty was not there. Robbie was getting more worried.
The children headed to Sam’s farm, hoping to find Monty chasing the goats. "He loves it here," Robbie said. But Sam shook his head. "Haven’t seen him today," Sam said. Robbie's heart sank. "Let’s try Temby’s Eggs," Isla suggested.
At Temby’s Eggs, Monty was nowhere to be seen. "Where else could he have gone?" Huey wondered. Robbie felt like giving up. "Maybe he’s lost forever," Robbie sighed. But Isla had an idea. "What about the Cherry Bomb Café?" she asked.
Mrs. Wottons at the café said, "Monty was here, he headed towards the Scenic Hotel.". "That’s far!" Robbie gasped. The children, filled with hope, hurried down the road. Robbie realized Monty might be napping somewhere. "Let's head home, I know where!" Robbie exclaimed.
Back on the farm, Robbie had a new idea. "The caravan!" he shouted, running over. Opening the door, they found Monty napping. "Monty!" Robbie cried joyfully. Monty wagged his tail. Robbie and his friends learned to be patient and understanding.
