Zara and the Wishing Star

Wisdom Digital art style

Join young Zara on her adventure in Cuba as she learns the importance of wisdom. After making a wish on a shooting star, Zara discovers that wishes can come with unexpected consequences. With guidance from her wise grandmother, Zara learns valuable lessons about being careful with her wishes.

One clear night in California, Zara gazed out of her window and saw a shooting star. She quickly made a wish to always have her favorite coconut ice cream. The next day, Zara was thrilled to find a giant tub of coconut ice cream waiting for her. However, as the days went by, she realized her wish meant she could eat nothing else! Zara began to worry as the ice cream melted away in the hot sun.

Zara tried to stop the endless flow of ice cream. She went to the kitchen and closed the freezer door tightly. - Oh no, how do I make it stop? she asked her pet parrot, Pepe. But the ice cream kept appearing, even in the fridge! Zara felt puzzled and a bit scared.

Zara sought help from her friends at school. - Maybe you wished too hard, her friend Mateo suggested. Zara tried wishing on the star again, but it didn’t appear. - What do I do now? Zara asked, feeling the weight of her mistake. Her friends didn’t know how to help, either.

Feeling hopeless, Zara sat on the steps of her house. She didn’t want to eat another spoonful of ice cream. - I’ll never wish again, she sighed to her Abuela, who sat beside her. Abuela listened quietly and held Zara’s hand, sharing her wisdom.

Abuela spoke gently, - Wishes are powerful, dear. You must think them through. Zara had an idea. She could wish for something different and hopeful. That night, she looked at the sky and whispered a new wish. To her surprise, no more ice cream appeared the next day.

Zara learned her lesson about being careful with wishes. She shared her story with her friends, who all laughed and promised to be wiser. - I’ll wish for happiness and health, Zara said with a smile. She felt proud and grateful, knowing she had grown wiser.
