Angry Alan

Tolerance Watercolor style

In a cozy bedroom filled with toys, little Alan battles with big emotions. When his anger gets too much, can he learn to calm down and find peace with a little help from Mom?

Alan was angry, oh so mad! He stomped his feet, he felt so bad. He broke his toys, he threw them far. He even kicked his teddy bear, Star! - Why are you so angry? Mom asked.

Alan wanted to play with his blocks, but they just wouldn't stack up right. - These blocks are silly! Alan cried. His tower kept falling down, and it made him even more upset.

Then Alan tried to draw a picture, but his crayons snapped in half. - This is no fun! he shouted. Alan felt like nothing was working, and he didn't know what to do.

Alan sat on the floor, feeling very tired. - I can't do anything right, he sighed. It seemed like nothing would ever make him happy again.

Mom sat next to Alan and took his hand. - Let's try something new, she said. They both took deep breaths and counted to ten together. Alan started to feel a little better.

With a big hug from Mom, Alan felt his anger slip away. - I feel better now! he smiled. Alan learned that taking deep breaths can help him feel calm and happy.
