One sunny morning, Skye woke up and said, 'Where’s my Opal? My fluffy cat is gone!' She felt worried. Skye put on her favorite yellow boots and stepped outside. The farm was big and beautiful. 'I’ll find Opal!' she announced.
First, she saw a big, silly goose waddling by the pond. ' - Have you seen Opal?' Skye asked, her eyes wide. The goose quacked and flapped his wings. ' - I saw her by the barn, splashing in the water!' he said. Skye felt a little hopeful.
Next, Skye tiptoed to the tall grass and found a tiny mouse. ' - Hello, little mouse! Did you see my cat?' Skye squeaked. The mouse twitched his whiskers and squeaked back, ' - I saw her hiding in a flower patch!' More hope filled Skye’s heart.
With hope in her heart, Skye ran to the flower patch. There, she met a gentle cow munching on grass. ' - Hi, Cow! Have you seen Opal?' Skye asked. The cow chewed slowly and said, ' - Oh yes, she was chasing butterflies by the fence!' Skye felt excited.
Skye quickly ran toward the fence. On her way, she found a playful dog wagging his tail. ' - Doggy, do you know where my Opal is?' Skye asked, feeling hopeful. The dog barked happily, ' - I saw her napping on the porch. She loves that spot!' Skye felt relieved.
Skye walked back to the house, gloomily. ' - I have to get back home for lunch,' she thought. As she opened the door, she heard a soft purr. ' - Opal! There you are!' she squealed in delight. Opal was curled up, fast asleep on the porch. ' - You silly cat! Everyone had their stories. I love you, Opal!' And with a warm hug, their adventure ended happily.
