Dandy saw a tall Ferris wheel and thought, 'Maybe the owl is up there!' When he tried to get on, the ride operator stopped him. - You're too little to ride alone, the operator said.
Dandy then spotted a big tent with colorful flags. Inside, he found a maze made of hay. - This must be where the owl is hiding, Dandy thought. But he got lost in the maze and couldn't find the way out.
Dandy heard music and saw a parade of clowns. - Maybe the owl is with them, Dandy wondered. But the clowns were too busy juggling and dancing to help him.
As Dandy searched, he saw a balloon stand. - Do you know where the wise old owl is? he asked the balloon seller. - Sorry, little pup, but I don't, the balloon seller replied.
Dandy then found a petting zoo. - Maybe the owl is here, he thought. But all he found were goats and chickens. - Oh no, where could the owl be? Dandy said, feeling sad.
Dandy sat down and thought about giving up. - I'll never find the owl, he sighed. He felt very tired and lonely. The fair seemed too big for a little puppy like him.
Just then, a wise old mouse appeared. - Why are you so sad, little pup? the mouse asked. - I can't find the wise old owl, Dandy replied. - Follow me, I know where to find him, said the mouse.
The mouse led Dandy to a big tree at the edge of the fair. - The owl lives up there, the mouse said. Dandy barked happily. He had found the wise old owl at last and learned that wisdom often comes from asking for help.
