Doggy By The Door
Doggy is a curious pup who waits eagerly by the door for his human to return. But when his human is late, Doggy faces a series of obstacles that test his patience and understanding. Can Doggy learn to be tolerant and find joy in the wait?
Doggy sits by the door, nose pressed against the glass. He watches, waits, and wonders, "Where is my human?" His little heart beats fast, hoping for playtime. But today, the wait feels extra long. Doggy's eyes are filled with questions.
A loud bark echoes as the mailman arrives. Doggy hopes it's his human. "Woof, woof! Is it you?" he barks. But it's just the mailman, who waves and walks away. Doggy sighs, feeling a bit disappointed.
Doggy hears a car and leaps with excitement. "Is it them? Are they back?" he wonders. But the car just zooms past, leaving Doggy puzzled. He sits down, tail still wagging, trying to understand. "Maybe they got lost," he thinks.
Doggy checks the window, tail wagging with hope. He listens to the clock tick, tick, tick. "Why is it taking so long?" he wonders quietly. With each passing sound, his hope fades a little. Still, he waits patiently, hoping for a miracle.
Doggy's ears perk up at a distant sound. "Could it be?" he whispers. But once again, it's not his human. His heart sinks, and he flops onto the floor, feeling tired of waiting. "Maybe I should just nap," he thinks.
Doggy curls up, his eyes heavy with sleep. "I guess I'll just dream," he sighs softly. His mind drifts to thoughts of walks and treats. Just as he starts to snore, a new sound catches his attention. "Could it be?" he wonders again.
Doggy opens his eyes as keys jingle at the gate. "Is it finally time?" he jumps up, hope renewed. This sound feels different, bringing excitement back to his paws. With a wag and a wiggle, he's ready to greet his human.
The door swings open, and Doggy's heart leaps with joy. "You're back!" he barks, spinning in delight. His human smiles, "I missed you too, Doggy!" Together, they head towards the kitchen, ready for dinner and a walk.
