Elle loved Mardi Gras. Her favorite part was the King Cake. One night, she dreamed of being crowned queen. But someone tried to take her crown! Elle gasped and held on tight.
Cinnamon, the King Cake turned dog, barked loudly. The thief was scared and ran away. Elle hugged Cinnamon. - Thank you, she said. But the crown was still wobbly.
Elle tried to adjust the crown. But it was too big! - I can't be queen like this, Elle sighed. Cinnamon wagged his tail. - Let's find a way, he said.
Feeling sad, Elle sat down. - Maybe I'll never be queen, she whispered. Cinnamon nuzzled her hand. - Don't give up, he urged. Elle's eyes sparkled with hope.
Cinnamon had an idea. - Let's ask the wise owl, he suggested. They found the owl in a tree. - Tie a ribbon to the crown, the owl said. Elle felt brave again.
With the ribbon tied, the crown fit perfectly. - I'm the queen! Elle giggled. Cinnamon barked happily. Together, they ruled the Mardi Gras parade. Everyone cheered for Elle.
