Ellie the Clever Elephant

Once upon a time, deep in the heart of the jungle, lived a little elephant named Ellie. Ellie wasn’t like the other elephants. While they loved to splash in the river and stomp around in the mud, Ellie was always thinking. Her favorite thing to do was solve problems. One day, the jungle animals were in a panic. The Great Banana Tree—the one that fed everyone—had lost all its bananas overnight!

The monkeys were in tears, the birds were squawking, and even the always calm giraffes were pacing nervously. - Who could have taken all the bananas? cried Milo, the leader of the monkeys. Ellie’s ears flapped in thought. - Let’s not jump to conclusions, she said, calmly stepping forward. - We need to investigate.

Ellie led the animals to the Great Banana Tree. She sniffed the ground carefully and spotted something shiny. - Hmm, she muttered, a trail of banana peels! Ellie followed the trail, and all the animals marched behind her, curious to see what she would find.

The trail led deep into the jungle, where the trees grew thick and tall. Suddenly, the path was blocked by a fallen tree. - Oh no, how will we get past this? cried a monkey. Inside the cave, they saw glittering eyes in the darkness. - Who’s there? Ellie called out bravely. A big bear emerged, looking guilty. - I’m Bobo, he said. - I didn’t mean to scare you.

Bobo explained he was just hungry. - I didn’t mean to take all the bananas, he confessed. - I was just so hungry, and one banana led to another, and before I knew it… Ellie smiled kindly. - It’s okay, Bobo. But you need to share. We’ll help you make it right.
