The next afternoon, Julio's dad took him on a special walk. "Let's talk, buddy," his dad said as they strolled through the park. "Do you know what makes a family?" Julio shook his head. "It's love and the memories we make together," his dad continued. Julio thought about their family outings and bedtime stories, and he realized those were the things that mattered most.
Julio felt a warm feeling in his heart as they returned home. He ran to his mom and hugged her tightly. "I get it now," Julio exclaimed. "We are a family because we love each other!"
