Helping Day
A story about a compassionate four-year-old boy named Annir who sets out to help a homeless man he meets in the city. Annir faces several obstacles but learns the importance of charity and compassion.
Annir and his mom were walking through the busy city streets. They saw many people hurrying to work and school. Suddenly, Annir noticed a homeless man sitting on the sidewalk. The man looked very sad and cold. Annir wanted to help him.
Annir tugged his mom's hand. - Mommy, can we help that man? he asked. His mom looked at the man and nodded. - Yes, but we need to find something to give him. They didn't have anything with them right now.
Annir and his mom hurried home to find some food and blankets. - Let's give him this warm blanket, Annir's mom said. Annir searched for some food. - I found some apples and bread, he said excitedly. They packed everything in a bag and got ready to go back.
As they walked back to the city, it started to rain. - Oh no, the food will get wet, Annir said. They didn't have an umbrella. They tried to cover the bag with their jackets, but it was difficult. Annir felt like giving up.
Just then, a kind stranger approached them. - Here, take my umbrella, he said with a smile. Annir and his mom thanked him. - We can do this, Annir said with new hope. They walked quickly back to the homeless man, keeping the bag dry under the umbrella.
When they reached the homeless man, he looked surprised. - This is for you, Annir said, handing him the bag. The man smiled gratefully. - Thank you so much, he said with tears in his eyes. Annir felt happy and proud. - Helping is the best, he said to his mom.
