How JuJu Met Buttons
JuJu, a panda bear with white spots on his paws, longs for a friend in the jungle playground. But every attempt to make a friend seems to go wrong. JuJu is about to give up when a surprising ally helps him see things in a new light. Will JuJu find the friend he's been wishing for?
JuJu the panda bear loved playing in the jungle playground. But he felt lonely because he had no friends to play with. JuJu's paws had white spots, and he wondered if that was why the other animals didn't play with him.
JuJu decided he needed to find a friend, but it wasn't easy. The other animals seemed busy playing with their own friends. JuJu felt like he was always on the outside looking in.
JuJu saw a group of monkeys playing tag. He wanted to join, but he was too shy to ask. JuJu walked away sadly, thinking he would never have a friend.
JuJu then saw a family of elephants playing with a ball. He tried to roll it back to them but accidentally sent it into the bushes. The elephants didn't notice and continued their game without him.
JuJu spotted a group of colorful parrots having a singing contest. He tried to sing along, but his voice was too soft to hear over theirs. JuJu felt invisible and more alone than ever.
Feeling defeated, JuJu sat by the river, watching the water sparkle. He thought about giving up on finding a friend. "Maybe I'll never have a friend," he sighed.
While JuJu sat by the river, a curious little frog hopped over. " - Why so sad?" the frog asked. JuJu explained his troubles and the frog listened quietly.
JuJu decided maybe he should just enjoy playing alone. But deep down, he still wished for a friend. He felt like the jungle was too big for him alone.
Then, he heard a small, gentle voice. " - Can I play with you?" JuJu looked up and saw a little mouse with button eyes. " - I don't mind your spots," said the mouse.
JuJu and the mouse, named Buttons, played and laughed all day. JuJu realized that true friends love you for who you are. JuJu was no longer lonely. He had found a friend in Buttons.
