I am Because You Are

Charity Watercolor style

In the vast savanna, a young oxpecker named Red-bill struggles to find his place and purpose. While looking for companionship and a way to help others, he finds himself facing fierce rejections, misunderstandings, and the challenge of losing his feathers. As Red-bill's quest seems hopeless, he discovers the true meaning of friendship and charity in the most unexpected way. Will Red-bill's generosity be enough to find his true path?

In the heart of the savanna, a young oxpecker named Red-bill was searching for a sense of belonging. He had a peculiar problem: finding animals willing to let him help by eating the fleas off their backs.

Red-bill approached a lioness, hoping to offer his services. However, the lioness was not pleased.

Undeterred, Red-bill flew to another lion. But this lion was just as uninterested and swatted him away.

His next attempt was with a grumpy old lion who roared loudly, scaring Red-bill away.

Exhausted and featherless, Red-bill felt hopeless.

He decided maybe he should give up. " - Maybe I'm not meant for this," Red-bill sighed.

As he rested on what seemed like a large white stone, he heard a low, soft voice.

The voice belonged to a wise old rhino, who was suffering from fleas. " - I could use your help, my friend," the rhino said.

Red-bill realized that maybe helping one friend was enough. " - Thank you for giving me a chance," he chirped.

With the rhino's friendship, Red-bill found a sense of purpose. " - Together is how we thrive," the rhino rumbled.
