I Can Fly

Courage Watercolor style

In the heart of Chinatown, a curious five-year-old named Perry dreams of flying. Despite facing numerous obstacles, Perry's unwavering courage and determination guide him on an adventurous journey. Will Perry discover the secret to soaring through the sky?

Perry was a curious five-year-old living in colorful Chinatown. One sunny spring day, Perry watched a bird soar high in the sky and wished he could fly too. 'I want to fly like a bird!' Perry told his parents. They smiled but didn't think he could do it. Perry decided he had to find a way to fly, no matter what.

Perry's first idea was to make wings out of paper. He gathered lots of big sheets and started folding and cutting. 'These will be perfect wings!' Perry said excitedly. But when he tried to jump off a small step, the wings tore apart. Perry fell gently to the ground, feeling sad.

Next, Perry tried using balloons. He tied lots of balloons to his waist and hoped they would lift him up. 'This has to work!' Perry shouted. But the balloons only made him float a little off the ground before popping. Perry felt discouraged, but he didn't give up.

After many tries, Perry felt like giving up. He sat on a bench, watching other kids play. 'Maybe I'll never fly,' Perry said sadly. His friend Mei came over and saw Perry looking down. ' - Why do you look so sad?' Mei asked. ' - I can't find a way to fly,' Perry replied.

Mei had an idea. ' - Let's ask Mr. Wang, the kite maker!' she suggested. Perry nodded and they went to Mr. Wang's shop. Mr. Wang listened to Perry's story and smiled. ' - You need to make a strong kite and fly with it!' he said. Perry and Mei started building a big, sturdy kite with Mr. Wang's help.

Finally, the kite was ready. Perry held the string tight and ran as fast as he could. The wind caught the kite and it lifted high into the sky, pulling Perry up with it. ' - I'm flying!' Perry shouted with joy. Everyone in Chinatown cheered as Perry soared through the sky with his kite. Perry had found a way to fly, and he felt proud and brave.
