Jay loved his teddy bear, J, more than anything. One day, Jay came home from school only to find that J was missing. He searched everywhere in his room, but J was nowhere to be found. Jay felt his heart sink. He couldn't sleep without J. Jay knew he had to find J no matter what.

Jay decided to ask his friends if they had seen J. He went to his best friend, Anna. Anna shook her head. - I haven't seen J, Jay. Maybe someone at school took it by mistake? Jay nodded, feeling a bit hopeful. He decided to go to school the next day and ask around.

At school, Jay asked everyone about J. His classmates shrugged and said they hadn't seen it. Jay felt a bit discouraged but didn't give up. During recess, Jay saw a boy named Max playing alone. Max was often teased because he was different. Jay decided to ask Max about J.

Max looked surprised when Jay spoke to him. - Hi Max, have you seen my teddy bear, J? Max hesitated and then shook his head. Jay sighed, feeling like he might never find J. - Thanks anyway, Max. Jay walked away, feeling defeated.

That evening, Jay's mom noticed he was upset. - Is everything okay, Jay? Jay explained everything to his mom. - Have you thought about asking Max again? Maybe he was too shy to tell you. Jay realized his mom might be right. The next day, he approached Max again.

Jay found Max sitting alone again. - Max, I really need to find J. Can you help me? Max looked around and then whispered, - I found J near the playground. I was going to give it back but didn't know how. Jay smiled and thanked Max. - Thank you, Max. Let's be friends.
