Sam was daydreaming in class about meeting Jesus. He thought, 'If I could just ask Him about tolerance, I'd understand it better.' His teacher, Miss Clara, spoke about kindness, but Sam wanted more. Sam gathered old toys and gadgets for his time machine. His best friend, Alex, was skeptical. - Do you think this will really work? Alex asked. Sam replied, - I have to try! But the machine barely held together and looked ready to collapse.
Sam's machine sparked and sputtered, refusing to work. His little sister, Mia, wandered in, giggling. - That’s not a time machine, it’s a toy pile! she teased. Sam groaned, feeling defeated. Even the weather seemed against him, as rain began to pour outside.
Exhausted and frustrated, Sam decided to give up. - Maybe it’s impossible, he sighed. Taking a deep breath, he slumped onto his bed. His mind was filled with doubts about ever meeting Jesus. He felt like he had failed before even starting.
Just then, Grandpa Joe called. - Remember, Sam, every failure is a step closer to success, he advised. Inspired, Sam realized he needed guidance from history books and stories. With renewed energy, he set off to the library. There, he discovered clues about Jesus' teachings on tolerance.
Sam used the knowledge he gained to fix his time machine. With a final adjustment, it whirred to life. - I did it! Sam exclaimed with joy. His journey back in time taught him that tolerance begins with understanding. He returned home, grateful and full of new insights.
