Sam took a deep breath and opened the door. But the wind blew, making spooky sounds. Sam felt scared again and closed the door quickly. - It's too scary! Sam cried.
Sam decided to try again. He opened the door slowly. This time, he stepped outside. But it was so dark, he couldn't see anything. Sam's feet felt heavy.
Sam walked a little further, but then he heard a loud noise. It was a branch snapping! Sam jumped and ran back inside. - I can't do it! Sam said, feeling sad.
Sam sat on the floor, feeling upset. He didn't want to give up. But he didn't know what to do. - I wish I wasn't scared, Sam whispered.
Suddenly, Sam heard a soft, wise voice. It was an old owl outside. - You can be brave, little one. The owl said. - Just look closer and you'll see.
Sam listened to the owl's advice. He took another deep breath. He felt a little braver. - I can do this, Sam said to himself.
Sam stepped outside again. This time, he looked closely at the shadow. It wasn't a monster! It was just a tree with funny branches.
Sam smiled and felt proud. He had faced his fear! - I'm not scared anymore! Sam cheered. He was ready for Halloween fun.
