Lollsy and the Magic Fish
Lollsy, a curious young girl living by the seaside, has a fear of fish. Her adventure begins when she discovers a magical fish that could grant wisdom. Lollsy must overcome her fear to unlock the magic within.
Lollsy lived at the seaside, but she was afraid of fish. One day, she heard a myth about a magical fish that could grant wishes. " - I wish I could meet the magic fish," Lollsy whispered to her pet pumpkin, Pumply. But the thought of fish made her shiver. Lollsy knew she had to overcome her fear to find the magic fish.
Determined to be brave, Lollsy walked down to the seaside with Pumply and her ladybug backpack. "Lets go find the magical fish," she told Pumply. But the sound of splashing fish made her stop. Her heart beat fast, and she felt like holding her fists tight, closing her eyes and squealing. "What if they jump at me?" Lollsy worried. The fear of fish was her first challenge.
Lollsy tried different ways to meet the magical fish. She used a fishing net but caught only seaweed. "Oh no, this isn't working," she sighed. Then, she tried asking the seagulls for help, but they only squawked and flew away. "Hmmm," she sighed. Her desire to meet the magical fish made her wonder what to do.
Taking a sip of her pink milk from her backpack, Lollsy sat on a rock, thinking about how to not be scared. Just then, a wise old turtle crawled up beside her. "Don't give up, young one, you are half way there." the old turtle advised in a slow and comforting voice. "You are very brave to come this far, magical wishes await you on the other side." Lollsy listened carefully, her heart lifting with excitement and hope.
Inspired by the turtle's words, Lollsy decided to try again. She felt the courage grow inside her. Lollsy took a deep breath and waded into the water. Excited and feeling braver with each step, she couldn't believe her eyes! Right there, swimming gently towards her, a shimmering big fish appeared. Its scales glowing with bright magical colours, lighting up the water around her. "You have been very brave and courageous today," the fish spoke in a soft angelic voice. "For this, I will grant you one wish"
Lollsy was so excited and wanted to wish for all the candy in the world, but thought of her room filled with candy. How would she find her toys? Maybe I should wish to be a bird so I can fly, but she would miss her friends at school. She decided to take a deep breathe and think about her wish. As she stood in the water, she looked at Pumply. With a big smile, she knew what to wish for. "I wish that every child be granted the courage to shrink all their fears to smaller than ants, and realise that they are much braver than anything scary." The entire ocean lit up like diamonds. "YOUR WISH IS GRANTED", said the magical fish in a bold voice and swam away, deep into the sea. "Thank you, magic fish," Lollsy said, feeling proud and happy, standing confident in the water. She heard her mama call her for lunch. Her adventure made her super hungry and she couldn't wait to get home.
