Madilyn loved her teddy bear, Mr. Snuggles, more than anything. One sunny morning in Tennessee, Madilyn couldn't find Mr. Snuggles. She looked everywhere but he was gone! Without Mr. Snuggles, Madilyn felt very sad. She knew she had to find him. - Oh no, where is Mr. Snuggles? Madilyn asked.
Madilyn decided to retrace her steps to find Mr. Snuggles. She went to the backyard where she last played with him. But the backyard was big and full of toys. Madilyn couldn't see him anywhere. - Where could he be? Madilyn wondered.
Madilyn thought Mr. Snuggles might be in the living room. She crawled over to check under the couch. But it was dark and a bit scary under there. Madilyn felt nervous. - I hope I can find him soon, she whispered.
Madilyn felt like giving up. She sat down and sighed deeply. Without Mr. Snuggles, nothing felt right. Maybe he was truly lost. - I miss you, Mr. Snuggles, Madilyn said sadly.
Just then, her mom came into the room. She smiled and said, - Maybe you should try being honest about where you last placed him. Madilyn thought hard and remembered something. She had hidden Mr. Snuggles in a special spot! - Let’s check there, Madilyn said excitedly.
Madilyn crawled quickly to her secret hiding place, a little box under her crib. There, in the box, was Mr. Snuggles, safe and sound. Madilyn hugged him tight with joy. - I found you, Mr. Snuggles! Madilyn cheered. Her honesty and curiosity had helped her find her dear friend.
