Tolerance

Pablito, an 8-year-old indigenous boy from Letícia, Colombia, faces a challenging day when he tries to bring peace between two arguing friends. Through a series of obstacles, Pablito learns the importance of tolerance and how to solve conflicts with kindness.

Pablito loved living in Letícia, surrounded by the Amazon rainforest. One sunny morning, he noticed his friends, Juan and Maria, arguing loudly in the schoolyard. Pablito wanted everyone to be happy and play together, but the argument was getting worse.

Pablito decided to step in and help. He approached his friends and tried to calm them down. But Juan and Maria were too angry to listen. Pablito felt sad because he couldn't make them stop fighting.

Pablito thought about what to do next. He wanted to find a way to make his friends understand each other. He remembered his grandmother's advice about using kind words. But how could he get them to listen?

Pablito decided to try talking to them one by one. He went to Juan first, who was still fuming. Juan didn't want to hear anything and walked away.

Next, Pablito tried to talk to Maria. She was also very upset and didn't want to listen. Pablito felt like he was failing.

Pablito tried to gather his friends for a group discussion. But they were too angry and wouldn't sit together. He felt frustrated and didn't know what to do.

Pablito thought maybe he could write them a letter. He wrote about friendship and understanding. But when he gave them the letters, they didn't even read them.

Pablito was starting to lose hope. It seemed like nothing he did could bring his friends back together. He felt like giving up.

Pablito's teacher, Miss Valentina, noticed he was upset. She asked him what was wrong. Pablito explained the problem.

- Why don't you try a game that requires teamwork? Miss Valentina suggested. Pablito thought it was a great idea. He decided to organize a treasure hunt.

Pablito explained the game to Juan and Maria. At first, they didn't want to participate. But their curiosity got the better of them, and they agreed to try it.

Pablito set up the treasure hunt in the schoolyard. The clues required Juan and Maria to work together. They were hesitant at first, but soon they started cooperating.

As they worked together, Juan and Maria started to remember how much fun they had as friends. They laughed and helped each other find the clues. Pablito felt hopeful again.

Finally, Juan and Maria found the treasure. It was a box filled with friendship bracelets. They smiled at each other and realized they had missed being friends.

- I'm sorry for arguing, Juan said. - Me too, Maria replied. They hugged and thanked Pablito for helping them. Pablito felt proud and happy.

From that day on, Juan and Maria remembered to listen and understand each other. Pablito learned that patience and kindness could solve even the biggest problems. It was the best moment of his day!
