Ava Lilly loved her red boots more than anything else. She wore them every day, even to bed! One sunny morning, Ava Lilly wanted to play in the garden. But she heard some friends whispering, "Those boots are silly!" Ava Lilly felt sad. She wondered why they didn't like her boots.

Ava Lilly decided to show her friends how great her boots were. She jumped in a puddle, splashing water everywhere. " - Look! My boots keep my feet dry," Ava Lilly said. But her friends just giggled and ran away. Ava Lilly felt a little bit lonelier.

Ava Lilly tried to show off her boots while playing on the swing. She swung high, hoping her friends would notice. " - See how high I can go with my boots on!" she shouted. But they still didn't care and played with their toys instead. Ava Lilly felt her heart sink.

Ava Lilly sat by herself under the big oak tree. She thought about taking off her boots forever. " - Maybe my boots are silly," Ava Lilly said to herself. She felt like giving up. The feeling of loneliness was strong.

Just then, Grandma came by and sat next to her. " - Why so sad, my dear?" Grandma asked. Ava Lilly explained everything. Grandma smiled and said, " - Your boots are special because they make you happy. Everyone is different, and that's wonderful!" Ava Lilly felt a spark of hope.

Ava Lilly decided to wear her boots proudly. " - My boots are special to me!" she told her friends the next day. Slowly, they began to understand. " - We like your boots because they are YOU!" said one friend. Ava Lilly beamed with joy, feeling understood and accepted.
