Nala ran to the big oak tree where she often played. But the ball wasn't there. She sniffed around, hoping to catch its scent. Her friend, Kiwi the bird, chirped from above. - Have you seen my ball? Nala asked. - No, but I’ll help you look! Kiwi replied.
They searched the garden next, but found only flowers. Nala's tail drooped. - I think it's gone forever, Nala sighed. Kiwi fluttered down. - Don't worry, we'll find it! But Nala was losing hope. Her confidence began to fade.
Nala felt tired and sad. She lay down under the apple tree. Maybe she should just give up. - I can't find it, she told Kiwi. - It's too hard. Kiwi perched beside her, thinking hard.
