Yam is Moving to a New Daycare

Yam was excited but nervous. He was moving to a new daycare in Israel. His old friends were sad to see him go. Yam worried, "Will I make new friends?" His mom said, "You'll see, it'll be fun!" But Yam wasn't so sure.
Yam arrived at the new daycare with his parents. He held his mom's hand tightly. "I don't know anyone here," he whispered. His dad said, "Let's meet your new teacher!" But Yam hid behind his mom's leg.
Yam's new teacher smiled warmly. "Hi, Yam! Come and play!" she said. Yam wanted to play but felt shy. A group of kids were building blocks. "Can I join?" he asked softly. They didn’t hear him.
Yam tried again. "Can I play too?" he asked louder. But the kids said, "No, it's full." Yam felt sad and sat alone. "Why don't they like me?" he wondered. He missed his old friends.
Yam watched the others and felt lonely. He thought about giving up. But he remembered his mom's words: "Be yourself, and they will see how friendly you are." Could he really do it?
A kind boy named Noam noticed Yam. "Why are you sitting alone?" he asked. Yam took a deep breath. "I just moved here," Yam said honestly. Noam smiled, "Do you want to play with us?" Yam nodded happily.
Yam joined Noam and his friends. They shared toys and laughed together. "This is fun!" Yam exclaimed. Noam said, "See, you're one of us now!" Yam felt happy and relieved.
By the end of the day, Yam didn't want to leave. "I love my new daycare!" he said. His mom hugged him. "See, being honest helped you make friends!" Yam smiled, knowing he had been brave and true.
