Zachary loves playing in the snow. One day, he hears about a sad dragon in the forest. The villagers say the dragon is scary. Zachary wonders why everyone thinks that. His mom says, "Let's find out!"
In the magical forest, Zachary sees big footprints in the snow. "Wow, they are huge!" he says. Lulu meows and follows the trail. "Let's find the dragon!" says Mommy.
They find the dragon sitting sadly on a rock. "Hello, dragon!" Zachary calls. The dragon sighs, "Nobody likes me." "Why not?" asks Zachary.
The dragon explains, "I only want friends." Zachary says, "I'll be your friend!" The dragon's eyes light up. "Really?" asks the dragon.
Zachary decides to help the dragon make friends. "Let's show the villagers you're nice!" says Zachary. The dragon nods happily. "What should we do first?" asks the dragon.
Zachary and the dragon go to the village. "Look!" shouts a villager, "The dragon!" Everyone runs away. Zachary says, "Wait!"
Zachary tries to explain, "The dragon is nice!" But the villagers can't hear him. "How can we show them?" asks the dragon.
Zachary thinks of a plan. "Let's help them first!" he says. "What do you mean?" asks the dragon. "You'll see!" Zachary smiles.
The dragon helps clear snow from the village paths. "Wow, thank you!" says a villager. "He's helping us!" shouts another.
But some villagers are still scared. Zachary feels sad. "Maybe they will never like the dragon," he says to Mommy.
The dragon sees Zachary's sadness. "Don't be sad," says the dragon. "We'll try again!" Zachary nods, "Okay!"
Zachary has an idea. "Let's have a feast!" he says. "A feast?" asks the dragon. "Yes, to show you're friendly!" Zachary explains.
The villagers gather for the feast. "The dragon made this for us?" they ask. "Yes!" Zachary smiles. Everyone enjoys the feast.
The villagers thank the dragon. "You're not scary at all!" they say. Zachary hugs the dragon, "Now you have friends!"
