Mikiel Has Surgery!
Mikiel, a brave little boy, needs surgery to help him hear and breathe better. He faces fears and obstacles at the hospital, but with the love and support of his parents, he discovers courage within himself to conquer his challenges.
Mikiel is a happy little boy who loves to play. But sometimes, he can't hear very well, and his nose feels stuffy. Today, Mikiel is going to the big Mater Dei Hospital. He needs a special surgery to help him hear and breathe better. Mikiel feels a bit scared.
Inside the hospital, Mikiel sees many people. It is busy and noisy. He clings to his mum's hand tightly. - It's okay, Mikiel. Mum is here, Dad says. Mikiel takes a deep breath, feeling a little bit better.
Mikiel sits in a big room with many chairs. He sees other children waiting too. Mikiel starts to feel nervous again. - What if it hurts? Mikiel whispers. His mum gently hugs him. - You are so brave, Mikiel, she says softly.
Mikiel feels a bit scared now. He thinks about running back home. - I don't want to do this, Mikiel says with tears in his eyes. His dad kneels down and looks into his eyes. - We are proud of you, Mikiel. You are strong, he says.
A kind nurse comes to talk to Mikiel. - You're a brave boy, she says. She explains how the surgery will help him. Mikiel listens carefully. He feels a little better knowing it will help him play and laugh more. - I can do this, Mikiel says with a small smile.
After the surgery, Mikiel wakes up with his mum and dad by his side. - You did it, Mikiel! Mum cheers. Mikiel smiles and feels proud. He knows he was brave. Now he can hear and breathe better, ready for new adventures!
