My Life Story

Wisdom Pixar style

Morgan Gardner, a 17-year-old living in Saint John, New Brunswick, navigates a summer filled with challenges that test her wisdom, emotions, and resilience.

Morgan Gardner stood on the steps of Simonds High school, looking out over the city of Saint John. Summer had finally arrived, but she felt a sense of frustated. Morgan had always been a happy, sad, and sometimes angry girl, but last summer felt different. Her parents had just told her that she cant have no contact with Cheyenne Spavold, and she didn’t know how to handle it. The news left her feeling very upset and frustrated.

The first obstacle came sooner than expected. As Morgan and Jamie reached the beach, they found it crowded and noisy. ' - This isn't what I needed, Morgan sighed. ' - Let's find a quieter spot, Jamie suggested. They walked down the shoreline, but Morgan's mind was still troubled by her parents' divorce.

Even in the quieter part of the beach, Morgan couldn't escape her thoughts. ' - I can't stop thinking about my parents, Jamie. ' - It's tough, but you can't let it ruin your summer. ' - Easier said than done, Morgan muttered. Jamie tried to distract her with stories and jokes, but nothing seemed to work.

The next day, Morgan decided to visit her grandmother, hoping for some wisdom. ' - Grandma, I don't know what to do. ' - Sometimes, life throws us challenges to make us stronger, her grandmother said. ' - But I feel so lost. ' - You have to find your own way, dear. Wisdom often comes from within. Morgan left feeling slightly better, but still uncertain.

Back at home, Morgan faced another obstacle. Her parents were arguing loudly. ' - Why can't you just get along? Morgan shouted, storming out of the house. She went to the park, her sanctuary, but even there, she couldn’t find peace. The weight of her family's problems seemed too much to bear.

At the park, Morgan met an old friend, Alex. ' - Hey, you look down, Alex noted. ' - It's my parents, Morgan explained. ' - Want to talk about it? Sometimes sharing helps. Morgan hesitated but then poured out her feelings. Talking to Alex made her feel a bit lighter, but the problem remained.

Despite her talk with Alex, Morgan's emotions were still a rollercoaster. She tried to focus on her summer job at a local café, but her mind kept wandering. ' - Morgan, are you okay? her boss asked. ' - Just a lot on my mind. ' - If you need a break, let me know. She appreciated the concern but knew she had to keep going.

One evening, Morgan decided to write her thoughts in a journal. ' - Maybe this will help me find some clarity, she thought. She wrote about her parents, her feelings, and her fears. As she wrote, she began to see patterns and understand her emotions better. It was a small step, but it felt significant.

But just when things seemed to improve, Morgan’s parents announced they were selling the house. ' - This is too much! Morgan cried. ' - We have no choice, her mother explained. Morgan felt like her world was falling apart. She needed to find a way to cope, but how?

Feeling overwhelmed, Morgan considered giving up. ' - Maybe I should just accept things as they are, she thought. She stopped journaling, avoided friends, and withdrew into herself. ' - This isn't helping, Jamie told her. ' - You can't give up now. ' - I just don't see a way out, Morgan replied, feeling hopeless.

One night, Morgan had a breakthrough. She remembered her grandmother’s words: Wisdom often comes from within. ' - Maybe I need to look at things differently, she thought. She decided to focus on what she could control, like her summer job and friendships. It wasn’t a complete solution, but it was a start.

Morgan reached out to Jamie and Alex for support. ' - I need your help to get through this, she admitted. ' - We're here for you, Jamie assured her. With their support, Morgan felt stronger. She started journaling again and found solace in small joys and routines. Things slowly began to improve.

Morgan’s parents noticed a change in her. ' - You seem more at peace, her mother observed. ' - I’ve learned to focus on what I can control, Morgan explained. Her parents were still divorcing, but Morgan felt better equipped to handle it. She realized that wisdom comes from facing challenges head-on.

By the end of the summer, Morgan felt a sense of accomplishment. ' - It was a tough journey, but I’ve grown, she reflected. Her friendships were stronger, and she felt more in control of her emotions. She knew life would always have challenges, but she felt ready to face them with wisdom.

Morgan’s life story was far from over, but she had learned valuable lessons. ' - I can't change everything, but I can change how I react, she thought. With newfound wisdom, she looked forward to the future. She knew that whatever came her way, she had the strength to overcome it. And with that, her summer of growth came to a close.
